RAPA | SOA Update
RAPA has teamed up to collaborate on a number of initiatives with the Reinsurance Section Council of the SOA in order to enhance learnings and opportunities for both its members. A few initiatives we have collaborated on to date:
SOA Reinsurance Newsletter: The quarterly publications are very insightful and relevant to our industry as well as the work we do every day with key topics such as Post Level Term (PLT), conversions, market share and new business by reinsurer, etc . RAPA has submitted an article for Q3/16 which we will circulate to you as soon as it’s available. SOA Symposiums & Seminars
Nashville (May/16): RAPA had representation at the SOA Life and Annuity Symposium in Nashville this year with Shaun Downey who presented an Overview of Reinsurance Administration.
Chicago (August 15 & 16th): Shaun will be continuing on this topic with a presentation on Advanced Reinsurance Administration at the Advanced Reinsurance Seminar in Chicago on August 15/16th. There are many great breakout sessions on the schedule and you do not need to be an actuary to attend. NOTE – For this particular seminar, RAPA members are being offered the discounted registration fee ($200 savings) that is also offered to members of the SOA.
