The Reinsurance Administration Professionals Association is looking forward to hosting a special 20th Annual RAPA Conference at The Vinoy Renaissance St Petersburg Resort & Golf Club, from October 22nd – 24th.    We have an exciting line up of topics and speakers with a focus on our industry’s top emerging issues.  Sunday’s reception will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Tea Garden.  The attire for all sessions on Monday and Tuesday will be business casual. The Data Management Initiative team has published three new notification guidelines. Trending over the last decade reflects an increase in ‘changes to’ and ‘changes of’ business partners to existing reinsurance and retrocession agreements. The types of changes are somewhat varied but do include an element of similarity in that the type of change, revision to company specific information, and updated banking or check disbursement information is needed by the reinsurer or retrocessionaire. The same information is also needed by the cedent when changes occur to the reinsurer or retrocessionaire. We had a great turnout and very active participation at this year’s RAPA spring meeting with lots of new and exciting ideas to move our association forward into the future.
